Weekly Reflections: “Not Just Any Other Person”

“Not Just Any Other Person”

By: Olivia Parker

Enemy tried to talk in my ear

Tried to make me fear

But the Holy Ghost is near

And holds me so dear

The devil tried to make feel like nothing

As if my life wasn’t worth something

But the Lord holds me in His Righteous Right Hand

And gives me the power to stand

The enemy tried to shut me up in the night

But I got Jesus, And He IS my Shining Light

The enemy tried to make me tense and tight

But the Lord has kept me and has made everything alright

The Lord gives me vision and sight

That overcomes any dark night

The Lord puts in me a new fight

And He makes everything right

The Lord operates in my mind and my heart

He gives me a new day, a fresh start

He said He would never leave me

He would never leave me a part

From His Comfort, Companionship and Holy Word

No matter all the events in my life that have occurred

The Lord IS my Shining Light

He gives me sight and makes everything bright

He fights against those that that fight against me

Those that are visible and those that I can’t see

I know God is for me

Because He didn’t let my enemies triumph over me

This message has been deep down in my soul

I feel full and the Lord has always been in control

I have the victory over the enemy

And the world can do me no harm

So no need for alarm

God’s got me

And He keeps me in serenity and security

The Love of God is amazing

His Perfect Will All-Encapturing

My heart sings praises to your Name Jesus

The One in Whom I trust

THE Almighty God

No one like Him

No one above Him

No one beside Him

No comparison

I got the victory over the enemy

And the world can do me no harm

What the enemy thought would result in defeat

Led to victory

And only a testimony

And the solidification of my Christ-given identity

So here I am testifying of God’s goodness

And boasting in His Loving kindness

Here I am to worship before you Jesus

Here I am to bow down before you God

Here I am to say that you are my God

Forever.

I’m not going anywhere

I’m not just any other person

I am a dedicated, woman of God, devoted one unto You Jesus

And You Jesus, define my identity

And this is not the end but the beginning of my story

And God will only get ALL the GLORY

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
